Integrative Breathwork utilizes deep connective breath, evocative cultural music, intuitive bodywork, and symbolic artwork to transcend the limitations of the analytical mind and access the intuition and the deeper strata of the subconscious. The mysterious combination of music and breath energetically opens a pathway into the psyche and is a portal to altered states of consciousness liberating oneself from the conditioning of the past, accessing the potential enlightenment and transformation of the ego, emerging from the process as an expansion of who you have been and being able to live a more authentic version of yourself. Attending an Integrative Breathwork session will give you a much deeper understanding of yourself and how to create your “new” life consciously and with intent.
Integrative Breathwork has been known to be a very useful tool as an adjunct to talk therapy. If you are already seeing a therapist and have been stuck, struggling with how to move forward, the experience of Integrative Breathwork can aid your therapist in the acceleration of the healing process. I will be more than happy to collaborate with your therapist to help uncover the information needed for your psychological progression. This work is based on the Consciousness Research of Dr. Stanlislov Grof (www.holotropicbreathwork.com) and the extended work of Jacquelyn Small, Founder of Eupsychia, Institute and author of nine books based on Spirituality and Soul Based Psychology.
Group Sessions are listed on the Events page of this website.
What To Expect in Your Private Breath Session: Please dress in comfortable, loose clothing and bring a pair of socks. If you wish you may bring your own pillow and blanket.
Following an explanation of the technique and answering any questions you may have, a brief relaxation guided meditation will lull you into flow with the esoteric music especially designed to accompany and encourage your journey.
Lorraine supports your Breath experience in many ways, using psycho-spiritual techniques all the while assuring that your subconscious is directing the flow of events and not other outward influences.
After the session, you are invited to rest a bit and then come gently back into the body. Most people report that they feel lighter, brighter, less tense and more self aware. While Lorraine offers you time to integrate your experience you may enjoy a cup of tea and a light refreshments which are provided. Journaling or expressive symbolic artwork are encouraged.
Individual and Group Sessions are held similarly, however, in a group breath session, a number of people will be supported in the Breath at the same time, each experiencing their own individual journey. In a group breath, a wonderful and creative group energy is generated that seems to support the breathers throughout the session. Group work also generates healthy connections and encourages those attending to support each other.
"This method transcends time and space, producing a mild, non-ordinary state of consciousness that brings the abstract spiritual world down into our concrete brains so we can experience these higher worlds directly. ...Breathwork benefits those seeking, spiritual awakening, stress reduction, more meaning and purpose in life, a heart opening, or community." ~Jacquelyn Small, Founder of Integrative Breathwork and the Eupsychia Institute
